In this post, I will be sharing my free printable monthly liturgical calendar for the month of December.

Happy Catholic New Year!
Did you know, the new liturgical year begins with the First Sunday of Advent? This year, it falls on December 1st. That means, this is the perfect time of year to begin living the liturgical calendar of the Church, if you don’t yet do so.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m a homeschool, homebirth, homemade mom of 5 boys. Check out my about page to meet me and my family.

Catholic Liturgical Living in December
The month of December is chock-full of cool liturgical traditions that kids love. This season can get very busy, very quickly though. In your celebrations remember that Advent is a time of penance and preparation for the season of Christmas.
To help stay focused on Jesus, learn all about his lineage by doing the Jesse Tree together each day.

Selected liturgical celebrations for this month:
- Advent Bible Reading Plan
- Advent Wreath (where we get our candles)
- St Andrew Christmas Novena
- Jesse Tree (my free printable version)
- St Francis Xavier
- The Feast of St Nicholas (colouring coming soon!)
- The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Our Lady of Guadalupe
- St Lucy/Lucia Day
- St John of the Cross
- Bambinelli Sunday
- Gaudete Sunday
- The O Antiphons (coming soon)
- The Nativity of Our Lord (Christmas)
- Christmastide
- St Stephen (we sing this)
- St John, Apostle & Evangelist
- The Holy Innocents
