As a teenager, I attended a youth leadership week through Steubenville Catholic Youth Conferences where we were challenged to memorize one Bible verse each day. At first it seemed intimidating, but by the end of the week we had several verses memorized by heart.
That experience taught me something important: children are capable of memorizing far more Scripture than we sometimes expect.
