Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day sneaks up on me every year! Not this year, Valentine’s Day, not this year… Yes, it does seem early but February 14th will be here before you know it! I am currently stuck in a chair with a heat pad dealing with some kind of nerve pain so I have plenty of extra time and energy to design Valentine’s printables.
These will be perfect for you if you also forgot about that sneaky old holiday coming up! You can quickly print these off at home, add names and Bob’s your uncle.
We Keep Valentine’s Day Very Simple
I am a big advocate of simple and inexpensive celebrations. There does not need to be all kinds of pressure on moms and families to celebrate in a commercial way. I love to have a few Valentine’s Day books around (maybe I’ll do a post on those!). We often talk about the Five Love Languages. Sometimes we make healthy pink and red treats with no food dyes. And, we occasionally remember to send a card to grandparents or loved ones!
This year is our second year raising money and donating Usborne magic painting books to our local long term care home to help the seniors feel cozy and loved on Valentine’s Day. Thank you to all who donated last year or this year! If you want to contribute, send me an email. These printable cactus valentines will hopefully put smiles on the faces of some local seniors!
How to Print Your Cactus Valentines
These Valentines are in PDF format and are designed to be printed at home on 8.5×11 printer paper or cardstock. I included two sizes: full page size and miniature 1/8th size ones too. I also added a slightly less cute but still fun printer-friendly version with white background so you can save ink!
Cactuses are Cute
I thought cactuses would be a really cute and gender neutral kid-friendly theme for these Valentine’s Day cards. So, I added some pink and hearts but not too much. Raising boys, it is very important to me to talk about feelings and ways of showing love! Love is for everyone!
Valentines with Cactus Facts
My boys love FACTS so I decided to add a cactus fact on the inside page of each one to help them appeal a wee bit more and maybe spark some interests! There are 4 unique designs an 4 unique facts in this printable.
