In this post I will be sharing my printable liturgical living calendar for June.
June can be such a busy month with school wrapping up and summer simultaneously getting underway. Don’t let the whole month get away from you without diving into some liturgical living as a family.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m a homeschool, homebirth, homemade mom of 5 boys. Check out my about page to meet me and my family.

The Feast of Corpus Christi
Notably this month in Canada we have the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ or Corpus Christi. In many places, there are Corpus Christi processions after Holy Mass. Does your church celebrate Corpus Christi?
The Sacred Heart of Jesus
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is a beautiful devotion. Here are some ideas to share this devotion with your children this month:

The 12 Promises of the Sacred Heart
Jesus gave St. Margaret Mary 12 specific promises made to all who have and share devotion to the Sacred Heart.
The Promises of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to St. Margaret Mary
- I will give them all the graces necessary in their state of life.
- I will establish peace in their homes.
- I will comfort them in all their afflictions.
- I will be their secure refuge during life, and above all, in death.
- I will bestow abundant blessings upon all their undertakings.
- Sinners will find in my Heart the source and infinite ocean of mercy.
- Lukewarm souls shall become fervent.
- Fervent souls shall quickly mount to high perfection.
- I will bless every place in which an image of my Heart is exposed and honored.
- I will give to priests the gift of touching the most hardened hearts.
- Those who shall promote this devotion shall have their names written in my Heart.
- I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that my all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on the First Fridays in nine consecutive months the grace of final perseverance; they shall not die in my disgrace, nor without receiving their sacraments. My divine Heart shall be their safe refuge in this last moment.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary
The day after the feast of the Sacred Heart is the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
St. Louis de Montfort said, “If you put all the love of all the mothers into one heart, it still would not equal the love of the heart of Mary for her children.”
And Jesus Himself appeared to Sr. Lucia, saying, “I want My Church to […] put the devotion to this Immaculate Heart beside the devotion to My Sacred Heart.”
- Pray the Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
- Venerate an image of the Immaculate Heart and display it in your home
- Sing the hymn Immaculate Mary
- Learn some prayers to the Immaculate Heart
- Learn about the First Saturday Devotion
Liturgical Living Through Food
I need to tell you about my friend Becky. Becky and I collaborate on Catholic Living Weekly posts on Instagram, maybe you have seen her @raisingsaintsinthekitchen. Her passion is to help families live liturgically through food.
Becky has a mailing list where she gives you liturgical meal and snack ideas the week before the feast days and she even sends you grocery lists for the recipes! Some of her ideas for June include breadmaking for Corpus Christi, and cool pizzas for the Sacred and Immaculate Hearts.
For example, did you know St. Juliana saw visions for 20 years of the moon with a dark spot on it? This symbolized the lack of a feast day set aside to commemorate the Body and Blood of Christ. Here’s a really cool article describing the story. And here is Becky’s sourdough bread with a dark spot on the moon!
It is such a cool ministry. If you want to subscribe to her mailing list you can click here.
