In this post, I will be sharing my free printable monthly liturgical calendar for the month of December.

Happy Catholic New Year!
Welcome to a brand new liturgical year—Happy Catholic New Year!
The Church year begins with the First Sunday of Advent, which in 2025 falls on December 1st. This is the perfect time to start (or renew) your family’s commitment to living the liturgical calendar.
In this post, I’m sharing my free printable December Catholic Liturgical Living Calendar, designed especially for Catholic families who want to celebrate faith-filled traditions at home.
If you are new here, welcome! I’m a homeschool, homebirth, homemade mom of 5 boys. Check out my about page to meet me and my family.

Catholic Liturgical Living in December
The month of December is chock-full of cool liturgical traditions that kids adore. However, this season can get very busy, very quick. What’s a Catholic parent to do?
One way to reign in the busy is to stick to your family mission. Perhaps your family has already established a mission statement. If not, don’t worry! In your celebrations remember that Advent is a time of penance and preparation for the season of Christmas. To help stay focused on Jesus, learn all about his lineage by doing the Jesse Tree together each day.

Selected liturgical celebrations for this month:
- Advent Bible Reading Plan
- Advent Wreath (where we get our candles)
- St Andrew Christmas Novena
- Jesse Tree (my free printable version)
- St Francis Xavier
- The Feast of St Nicholas (colouring pages)
- The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary
- Our Lady of Guadalupe
- St Lucy/Lucia Day
- St John of the Cross
- Bambinelli Sunday
- Gaudete Sunday
- The O Antiphons (coming soon)
- The Nativity of Our Lord (Christmas)
- Christmastide
- St Stephen (we sing this)
- St John, Apostle & Evangelist
- The Holy Innocents
- The Holy Family (Consecration here)
There are many other feasts and ways to celebrate in December. That’s why I recommend that you print your copy of my liturgical calendar free download and add anything else you plan to do!
I also have many activities for these feasts available in my Advent Activity Bundle – check out the free version or order the full here.
