Saint and Bible Comics for Kids (Free Printable)

In this post I will be sharing my free printable saint and bible comics for kids.

Narration, or retelling, is a wonderful activity that helps to synthesize learning. Many homeschoolers who use the Charlotte Mason method of homeschooling would already be quite familiar with it.

Stories are absolutely remarkable. In fact, our brains are wired for stories. When you read, your brain acts like it is the real thing! Story is the single greatest tool for learning, and homeschool moms know it.

God knows it, too. And in the Word, we encounter many stories, tales that help shape our values, virtue and collective memory. My hope is that these free printable bible comics for kids will help do just that!

Recently, I have been encouraging the young children in our homeschool co-op to read and narrate back to me the stories of the saints and other Catholic heroes, for the purpose of having these tales of heroic virtue imbued within them.

I thought these comic book style printables would be a very fun and engaging way to allow children to present their own retellings of heroic virtue. I also included a page of engaging Christian and comic graphics to cut and paste onto the comics to spark some ideas and add a little SHAZAAM when needed.

Who Can Use These Free Printable Bible Comics for Kids

This printable is fun and free for all ages, but I think kids around age 7-12, or grades 2-6 would enjoy it most.

Bible or Saint Story Comics would make a great

• Homeschool lesson
• Catechism class resource
• Sacrament prep activity (retelling the Institution of the Eucharist!)
• Religion class at any age
• Virtue teaching

I think this printable will hold extra sway with the boy crowd, just my instincts as a mom of 6 boys!

What Stories Would be Great for this Bible or Saint Story Comic Printable?

Any stories that really appeal to children would be perfect for retelling with this comic.

Children may feel intimidated trying to draw and write a full saint story. Encourage them to pick one or two impactful scenes from the life of their favourite saint, or a particular moment from the Bible.

For example:

• When St Francis tamed the wolf
• St. Patrick sending the snakes out of Ireland
• St. George defeating the dragon
• David and Goliath
• Saul’s conversion
• Jesus walking on the water
• The angel Gabriel appearing to Mary
• The Ressurection
